■ 20/06/08 - UEFA Euro 2008 Let’s be blunt, shall we? Probably the only reason UEFA Euro 2008 won’t sell nearly as much as it should is because it isn’t called FIFA. I mean, UEFA hardly rolls off the tongue, now does it? If you’re a fan of the Futbol, then chances are there is some European country out there you’d be happy to root for. There had better be, because true to its name Euro 2008 is all about that hotly contested tournament of some of the best soccer teams on the planet.

Designed as a lower-priced variation of the FIFA series but with fewer modes and the UEFA themes attached, this series is meant for three kinds of gamers: those who love anything related to the UEFA, those who must have every new soccer game, or those who prefer to skip FIFA and play the in-between series. This stems from the extreme familiarity to and close proximity with that other soccer game I just mentioned. UEFA Euro 2008 appears to use the exact same engine as FIFA 08. So why are there problems with this game that weren’t in FIFA?

Passé maître en l'art de simuler virtuellement n'importe quel événement sportif de taille internationale, EA Sports nous propose, sept mois à peine après FIFA 08, de vivre l'Euro comme si on squattait les pelouse suisses et autrichiennes. Il va beaucoup pleuvoir, et pas seulement des buts.....
