■ 08/02/08 - Battlefield 2142 There’s a little back story explaining exactly how the World came into such a fierce conflict but rest assured it’s kept short and sweet. All we care for is the excuse for some new ways to maim and blow stuff up anyways right?
■ 06/02/08 - Battlefield 2142 After last year’s decidedly killer Battlefield 2, desktop generals expect quite a bit from the pairing of big-budget publisher Electronic Arts and detail-oriented Digital Illusions C.E. There’s nothing wrong with wanting big things from big talent – any entertainment medium works the same way.
■ 22/02/07 - Battlefield 2142 Battlefield 2142 is one of those games that, at first, I really wanted to give a low score. Only due to the urging of a friend did I even agree to buy it, mostly because it seemed to me like this is a cash-in from EA on the hugely successful Battlefield franchise, complete with in-game advertising (more on that later).
■ 25/01/07 - Battlefield 2142 The future of warfare is here, and it is not Battlefield 2142. There’s plenty of fun to be had with the multiplayer online with the new toys we’re given to play with. Unfortunately, there is nothing really new on offer that can’t be found in other games and if you don’t plan on spending a lot of time online playing then this isn’t really worth the effort in the single player portion.
■ 10/11/06 - Battlefield 2142 I won’t lie to you: as soon as I sawthat Battlefield 2142 featured mechs, I was a fan. There’sjust something particularly appealing about the idea of cruising thebattlefield in a 30-foot-tall walking behemoth, big guns blazing atanything that gets in my way.
