Le titre peut prêter à sourire pour les amateurs du genre qui connaissent l’histoire de Don King, un des plus célèbres promoteurs qui est facilement reconnaissable à sa coupe de cheveux extravagante, mais nous ne sommes pas là pour faire son procès. Prizefighter takes a slower paced approach than titles like Fight Night and is closer to a game like Victorious Boxers where depth is the key to the gameplay. I have mainly been playing exhibition fights and I have been getting my ass handed to me. Prizefighter is the kind of title where button mashing isn’t going to win you any fights. Last week I get a phone call from Snez (PR Manager of 2K Games) inviting me along to an event where 2K Games will have the opportunity to show off their latest boxing game, Don King Presents: Prizefighter. Now while on the phone to Snez you can imagine she was being her usual self, hyperactive and extremely happy. How could I say no to such a peppy girl?

■ 08/07/08 - Don King Presents : Prizefighters You gotta love Don King. He’s a purely American invention – endlessly self-promoting, a crazy hairdo, and his own made up version of the English language. The guy is more American than George Washington. And no matter what you think of him, the wild popularity of boxing, especially during its golden age in the 70’s and 80’s is partly his doing. So it’s kind of disappointing to see such an entertaining character involved with such a non-entertaining game.
