■ 20/12/06 - Ultimate Ghosts'n' Goblins If this were another franchise, no one would defend its missteps as anything other than poor design and implementation. As it is, there are going to be some that stalwartly stand up for Ultimate Ghosts ‘n Goblins by claiming that anybody who finds any problems with it must just not be capable of recognizing its genius.
■ 28/10/06 - Ultimate Ghosts'n' Goblins Arthur is back! Gamers who are fans of retro coin-ops, 2D gameplay, or simply just old have fond memories of the Ghosts’N Goblins series, and the various spin-offs that emerged from it through the 8- and 16-bit eras. Capcom is no stranger to re-releasing older titles for a new generation, and while this usually means just throwing old games on a disc and giving it a snappy nostalgic title, the company has done the good knight justice with this revisit.
■ 17/10/06 - Ultimate Ghosts'n' Goblins One of my most enduring gaming memories as pale faced youngster is snubbing the gorgeous Golden Bay beach of Malta to stand in a dingy bar playing Ghouls ‘n Ghosts on an arcade machine. No matter how many coins I pumped into that thing I never made it through the opening level. But there was just something about it that kept me out of sunshine only to perpetually play the first 60 second over and over again.
