■ 21/07/05 - Backyard Wrestling 2 : There Goes the Neighborhood Backyard Wrestling : Don’t Try This At Home m’avait à l’époque beaucoup déçu : alors que les jeux de catch s’offraient pour une fois une petite vadrouille, il y avait vraiment moyen de se payer un bon petit délire, mais le gameplay chaotique m’avait vite remis les pieds sur terre. Du coup, je n’ai pas attendu sa suite avec une même ferveur et j’imagine fort bien que c’est aussi le cas pour beaucoup d’entre vous. Cependant, il faut bien avouer qu’Eidos a fait de gros efforts. ■ 12/02/05 - Backyard Wrestling 2 : There Goes the Neighborhood Comme son nom l’indique, Backyard Wrestling 2 : There Goes the Neighborhood, est le deuxième épisode d’une série débutée il y a un peu plus d’un an, développé par Paradox Development et publié par Eidos. Contrairement à des jeux basés sur des fédérations de lutte, ici on parle de lutte beaucoup plus violente qui se déroule partout sauf dans un ring. ■ 21/01/05 - Backyard Wrestling 2 : There Goes the Neighborhood Let’s lay one thing out on the table right from the start: Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes the Neighborhood is the video game equivalent of being struck in the crotch with a cinderblock. This sequel builds upon the shaky foundation of its predecessor by adding more moves and more recognizable characters. However, the core gameplay is monotonous, the A.I. is anything but “intelligent,” the collision detection is inexcusably inaccurate, the graphics are wrought with glitches, and the audio is weak. With excellent wrestling games such as WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain and Def Jam: Fight for New York out on the shelves, it’s a mystery why anyone would even consider BYW2
