From a console gamer’s perspective the true PC games are a complete mish mash of controls, which are anything but intuitive, but they feature a lot of depth. X3: Terran Conflict embraces this property and absolutely runs with the concept. It’s a sci-fi flight sim game for the PC that stands in a class of its own right now. In the mid 90s to early 2000s there was a massive genre built upon space combat. They featured free roaming missions with multiple objectives and a massive array of ships and equipment.
