■ 07/12/06 - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 When the Mortal Kombat hit the arcades, I was just hitting that phase in college where choice between spending ten bucks hunched over an arcade machine or spending the same ten bucks on beer was a pretty simple. As a result, I missed out on a lot of the hype and excitement surrounding this over-the-top fighting series.
■ 21/11/06 - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Wow. They actually did it. They actually found a way to make MK Armageddon even less necessary. While the new game might have vast rosters of characters, the simplicity of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and its wealth of classic finishing moves make it the far better game and for far less cash.
■ 08/11/06 - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 In the early 90s, before first-person shooters became the competitive genre of choice for video games and the rise of the Internet removed most of our reasons to actually leave the house, you used to have to go outside to find good video game competition. And when you got out to those arcades, the genre of choice was the fighting game.
