■ 12/04/09 - Spore Spore. {Noun} A walled, single – to many – celled, reproductive body of an organism capable of giving rise to a new individual either directly or indirectly. Will Wright, known for The Sims, has been moulding a vision for the last four years. Maxis / EA’s latest PC adventure is an attempt to bring forth a scale unforeseen in video gaming. It is a game that takes the player on a journey from microbe to space faring race. It lets you tinker, create, destroy, marvel, rejoice and laugh at everything you do. It’s the first massively singleplayer offline game ever. Does the ambition pay off, evolving the gaming gene pool or does it revert back to a primeval soup of hashed ideas? ■ 02/03/09 - Spore The caveat – the warning that must be heeded by all potential Spore owners – is that Spore is not your classic strategy game. It’s a mistake many might make, but shouldn’t. It is – as are all of Will Wright’s games before it – a simulation; a “likeness” of evolution, but not a complete recreation. Test de Spore sur PC, chez Gamer20.
■ 01/03/09 - Spore As far as video games go, ambition doesn't get much bigger than attempting to simulate the entire process of genetic evolution. It's a goal so lofty that it almost beggars belief - but that's exactly what Will Wright and the Maxis team have set out to do. But then, you probably knew that already, didn't you? People have been desperate to get Spore on their hands for a long time now; the big question is this: did they pull it off? Test de Spore sur PC, chez VideoGamer.com.

■ 10/12/08 - Spore With a fiery crash, a giant meteor explodes into the atmosphere of a strange planet, sending hundreds of fragments into the depths of a primordial ocean. One of the fragments breaks apart and a small cell emerges. This epic introduction marks the beginning of Spore, an ambitious game spanning billions of years and thousands of galaxies.

■ 29/10/08 - Spore Will Wright and Maxis, responsible for top-selling franchises such as The Sims and Sim City, started working on Spore almost eight years ago. Even in the initial stages of development it seemed like an ambitious project. Just before release, Maxis and EA made an effort to provide gamers with the Spore Creature Creator. This proved to be a smart move. 250,000 creatures were made just in the first day. Not only were people able to experiment with the creature editor, but they could also use Test de Spore sur PC, chez ActionTrip.
