■ 21/05/08 - Paper Mario Paper Mario was released on Nintendo 64 in February 2001, just months before the launch of GameCube. Nintendo consoles have a habit of producing quality RPGs at the end of their lifecycles -- SNES’s Chrono Trigger and GameCube’s Baten Kaitos Origins come to mind -- and Paper Mario was no exception. In fact, Mario’s RPG proved to be one of the few role-playing experiences to even grace N64, as most big-name RPG developers were, by that time, producing for the PS and its larger-capacity CDs.
