For those of you who want to really get down and dirty with a racing game, this is the one for you. You won’t stay on the track for long since most of the tracks boast hellish off-road sections using dirt, gravel, snow, and sand for a very unique racing experience on each.
■ 18/01/06 - Cross Racing Championship 05 2005 will be memorable as a year when big-name licensed racing sims for the PC were few and far between, and the sims that were released were largely unlicensed, with generic car body types. Surely this saves money for developers, as sales of hardcore racing sims have dwindled since the heydays of Formula One and NASCAR.
■ 19/10/05 - Cross Racing Championship 2005 Slideshows. Great for business meetings, lectures and tutorials. Bad for games. Playing Cross Racing Championship for the first time with a PC that exceeds both the minimum and recommended specs, I was quite literally playing a slideshow.
■ 09/07/05 - Cross Racing Championship 2005 East European countries seem to take a liking to rally games, maybe along the lines of the Eristoff-principle: ‘this is a rally car, this is a rally game – the game you can buy’. All kidding aside, there are a lot of small companies in those regions that make up for the limited resources with passion and dedication.
