■ 15/04/09 - BioShock Back in 2007 Bioshock was released and the first-person shooter genre has never been the same since. Achieving stellar critical praise and impressive sales, Bioshock quickly became one of the most popular titles on the Xbox 360 thanks in part to its eerie underwater -utopia atmosphere and innovative plasmid mechanics. The PS3 got its hands on Bioshock last year and even more fans have grown to love the game’s thrilling action and chilling vibe. With all of Bioshock’s success, it is hard to imagine how the sequel could trump the first game’s popularity, but from what we have seen already, 2K Marin looks to make Bioshock 2 even more engaging and enjoyable than Bioshock ever was.

■ 01/03/09 - BioShock The console war used to be such a simple thing. You could get this game on this format, and that game on that one. Mario on the SNES, Sonic on the Mega Drive. Final Fantasy on the PlayStation, Halo on the Xbox. But these days the console war is a much more complicated battle. With the third-party console exclusive an endangered species, platform holders have begun scrambling for new weapons for use in the battle for gamers' hearts and minds. One of these, perhaps the most devastating, is downloadable content. Preview de BioShock sur Playstation 3, chez VideoGamer.com.
■ 01/03/09 - BioShock I wish I was able to erase my memory and play a video game as if it was the first time. I wish I could experience all the plot twists, the jump out of your seat shocks and jaw-dropping graphical bombshells once again without knowing that they are coming. This is the feeling I experience as I boot up the PS3 version of 2K Boston, 2K Australia, 2K Marin and Digital Extremes' port of the Xbox 360 and PC classic BioShock. ■ 01/03/09 - BioShock BioShock on PS3 has caused quite a stir in the office. On the one hand we're delighted that 2K Games has brought the game, albeit a year late, to Sony's console. Everyone and their dog should play this wonderful, intelligent and atmospheric shooter. But on the other hand, we're a tad disappointed, because the all-star four-pronged developer assault on the PS3 port hasn't taken the opportunity to right the admittedly few wrongs that shipped with the original 360 and PC game and make it a true, definitive 'Director's Cut'. ■ 17/12/08 - BioShock It says something about the impact of a game when downloadable content for it comes prefaced with a plot continuity disclaimer. BioShock's Challenge Rooms, which was released exclusively for the PlayStation 3 last week for GBP 6.29, does just that.

■ 03/12/08 - BioShock Bioshock on the Xbox 360 was one of the most critically acclaimed games of last year, but I never got to play it. I was extremely excited to give this game a try, but had a few concerns given the fact that it is a port. It represented the new generation of video game storytelling, and told a tale of morality in a way rarely seen. ■ 10/11/08 - Bioshock Bioshock is a game about choices: making them, regretting them, punching the air when they go spectacularly well and occasionally finding out you haven't made the right ones at the right time. It forces you to make tough decisions, tempts you with dozens of different powers and weapons, and makes you feel the consequences of your actions.

■ 07/11/08 - BioShock BioShock pretty much rocked our socks off last year on both Xbox 360 and PC, so the success of the slightly-improved PS3 release is probably a foregone conclusion. Still, playing through Lead Developer Ken Levine's epic a second and third time was still astonishingly fun... and a bit of a trip down Test de BioShock sur Playstation 3, chez GameSpy.
