■ 08/02/08 - 25 to Life 25 to Life has taken quite a bashing from critics in recent months, who generally regard the game as an oversimplified, unrealistic first person shooter. But I say: who cares whether or not shooting 300 cops is realistic (or ethical, for that matter)?
■ 03/04/07 - 25 to Life Completing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was a satisfying experience. One of the best aspects of the game is that you always feel the urge to keep on playing. It makes you want to play through the whole thing, from your very first task, up to the point where you literally own every real estate in the city.
■ 18/04/06 - 25 to Life Controversy has been a part of the video game industry since it all began. I can remember the major talks on the media regarding Mortal Kombat, made famous or infamous by its controversial gore factor. Since then we have of course had the pleasure of Grand Theft Auto, which of course spawned the now legendary Hot Coffee scandal.
■ 11/04/06 - 25 to Life Seriously. I mean, I like capping fools as much as the next G on the streets, but games like 50 Cent: Bulletproof and 25 to Life are quickly proving that hackneyed “street” themed dialogue and poor gameplay make for a marriage as bad as Britney and K-Fed’s.
